Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get access to my child’s medical information online?
Ask our front desk to be added to the Patient Portal. They will send a link to the Patient Portal to your email address and provide you with an information sheet to get you acclimated with logging in to the portal for the first time.
Which vaccines are given to my child and when?
How do I know if my child is up to date with their vaccinations?
Send a message through the Patient Portal or ask us for a copy during you visit at the clinic. Someone from our medical assistant staff will contact you within 1-2 business days with information on your child’s vaccine record.
What if I decide not to vaccinate my child?
We encourage all our families to vaccinate their children according to the schedule recommended by the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics). We believe that vaccines are one of the modern medicine’s most important contributions to health. With this in mind, we require all our patients to be vaccinated at some point. If you would not like to vaccinate your child, we respectfully ask that you find another clinic that will work with your non-vaccination wishes.
Do you take my insurance?
How do I refill my medications?
- Ask a provider for a refill during your visit.
- To Expedite – Request a refill through the patient portal.
- Call the clinic during business hours. No prescription refills will be prescribed outside of office hours.
**All required scheduled visits must be up-to-date to refill prescriptions**
Which hospital are you affiliated with?
Concord Children’s Clinic is associated with Atrium Northeast, Atrium Health Levine Children’s Jeff Gordon Children’s Center, and Novant Hospitals.
Does your office respond to emails?
Our office is able to send messages, forms and letters back and forth though our Patient Portal. You are also able to fax information to us at 704-784-1013. We do not respond to emails due to security issues.
How can I pay my past due bills?
You can pay in person at the clinic, or send in a check by mail. However the quickest way to make a payment from home is on our website under the Payment & Insurance tab.
How long does it take to get forms filled out for my child?
Please allow our clinic 5-7 business days to get forms filled out. Our providers and staff are busy seeing patients daily and need time to return calls and fill out forms when they are NOT seeing patients. Sometimes, this may take a few days.
What happens if I need to contact a pediatrician after hours?
- If you have a true medical emergency, Please call 911.
- If your call is not an urgent matter, please call us the next business day.
- Concord Children’s Clinic has a Provider on call at all hours. 24/7, 365 days a year for all non-emergent urgent calls. If you decide to call us after-hours, check with your insurance company to see if the call is covered or not. You may receive a bill for after-hours calls.
